Janet Reid, Debbie Milligan and Julie Nickelson were three friends with a vision and a mission. Frustrated with all the negativity they saw in the world, they sought out a way to make a difference. Amassing their ideas, they embarked on a three-woman movement to promote positivity and encourage others to find fun and meaning in their lives. They coined the name MWAH, which stood for More Wine and Hugs. Starting in October 2012, the threesome began holding regular meetings on Debbie’s deck … drinking wine tossing around ideas and making silly videos with a positive message to post on the MWAH Facebook page.
Word spread of this zany threesome, and they celebrated when the Facebook page reached 100 likes. People continued to comment about how they wanted to have as much fun as the FACELESS MWAH SISTERS, but they still didn' t feel as though they had found their direction.
One day in February 2015 .. Janet announced she "had it". MWAH needed to form a group to just show up and carry out Random Acts of Kindness. Realizing it was going to ''take a village", the three put their heads together and planned the first meeting. Fourteen friends gathered in Debbie's living room in March 2015 and M....WAH: More Wishes and Hugs was born.
Word quickly spread about the unique group in ways the founders never imagined and could never have accomplished alone. In one short year, membership reached about 25 ladies and growing. Thanks to various backgrounds and creative ideas of its members M. ... WAH is making a difference in our coummunity.
